ABSTRACT
This research
study investigated the effectiveness of cooperative learning type Numbered Head
Together (NHT) and Think Pairs Share (TPS) assisted CD-learning and worksheet
at learning in senior high schools to improve learning outcomes and active
participation among students and teachers. With simple random sampling
technique obtained three classes samples. In the 1st experimental
class applied learning Numbered Head Together (NHT) assisted CD-learning and
worksheet, the 2nd experiment class applied learning Think Pairs
Share (TPS) assisted CD-learning and worksheet, and the control classes applied
expository teaching model assisted worksheet. The method of data collection was
done by using the documentation, tests and observation. The results indicate
that the 1st and 2nd experimental class, both achieves
mastery learning. Furthermore, the results of the analysis showed that the
average learning outcomes the 1st experimental class higher than the
control class. But the average learning outcomes the 1st
experimental class does not differ significantly from the 2nd
experimental class, as well as between the 2nd experimental class
with the control class. From the observation of student activities, learning
NHT models also more active than both. However, the positive response of
teachers didn’t show a significant difference.
